The Gypsy! It's Provo Craft's hottest new tool. Compatible with all Cricut machines it has features similar to Design Studio, allowing you to weld images, see where you'll be cutting on your mat, etc. It also has some cool new features, but the best part is that it's super lightweight and portable, so now I can design anywhere, even sitting in the car, and then just connect my Gypsy when I'm ready to cut!
It comes with 2 free cartridges already loaded, they are exclusive to the Gypsy. Then, you take all the cartridges you own, and load them into the Gypsy. This way it remember what you have and you don't have to get your cartridges out each time you cut. All the cartridges Cricut makes are available to preview and design with, so you can try out any cartridge you want and find out which ones you'll really love! I think this is a great feature! I've used that in Design Studio also, but it's easier to be able to check it on the go too, since just browsing cartridges can really eat up a lot of time!
I'm super excited to have the latest and greatest!!! If you're curious... here's a video that explains a bit more about the Gypsy and shows it. http://www.cricut.com/gypsy/testdrive.aspx

I thought I posted earlier, woops!
I've been debating, I have a daughter and husband who seem to lose everything. I've heard once you load your cartridges to the gypsy they can no longer be loaded to another gypsy. That kind of freaks me out, you can always claim the gypsy on insurance if need be but then you would have to buy all new cartridges. Do you know if that's true?
I was told that if something happens to your Gypsy, you need to go directly through Provo Craft for your replacement. They will send you another Gypsy with the same serial number as your broken one, and then your cartridges can all be re-linked to it! Plus, you can still use your carts directly in your Cricut as always! So, replacing a Gypsy will be a bit of a headache, but it can be done! They aren't trying to keep people from using their own carts, they just don't want everyone to go to a swarm and load ALL their friends carts on everyone's Gypsies! That could lose them big money if it were that easy to permanatly have carts loaded, that's all!
Here is an explanation direct from Provo Craft:
What happens if my Gypsy crashes and can't be fixed?
You will need to call Provo Craft customer service. If it is decided that the device needs to be replaced, you simply send your non-functioning Gypsy™ to Provo Craft and Provo Craft will send you a Gypsy™ with the same serial number. Dependent upon the warranty, there may be a fee for the replacement Gypsy. Once you have received the replacement Gypsy you will need to connect your cartridges to the Gypsy™ to authorize your Gypsy to once again cut those cartridge images. You will need to keep your cartridges as backup.
My concern is not having a damaged gypsy but lost or stolen. I can't tell you how many cell phones we've lost in the last three years.
If I had a damaged one I have something to send back, if I have a stolen one I'm out of luck.
I think I'm going to call PC and find out, I'll let you know.
I'm sure they have something in mind for that, but I'm not sure what it is. Yes, let me know what you find out!
I think I will call back in say, a week when I'm not on the phone with customer support for 20 minutes plus!
Can't you just e-mail them? Seems like the kind of thing they could answer fine via e-mail!!! Help lines are always a pain so far as I've ever experienced.
Hey, it's in their FAQ's about the Gypsy! What if my Gypsy is lost or stolen?
Lost or stolen Gypsy devices can also be replaced. This will require that you contact Provo Craft customer service.
So, there ya have it! :)
You are my hero... Not that I found the info last night after waiting on the phone! Haha, I was just going to let you know:)
*LOL*
I just wish I would have found it sooner for you, I had read through that thing before, and TOTALLY missed that part! Whoops!
Customer service is probably sooo slammed right now with everyone getting their new Gypsies!! It's a big time for them!
