Thank You Card With Lots of Brown Shades

I kept the colors in this very neutral, with just a touch of pale green in the ribbon.  I tend to like a lot of color, but I  am trying to practice more neutral color schemes.

I used all SP & Company stamps for this, except for the birdcage image.  That image is from a Stampin' Up set called Happy Moments - it was available last year for Sale-a-Bration.

The frame is from Lovely Labels.  As you can see from the birdcage I found to fit inside it, the frames can be used for a lot of things.  One of the great things about the clear stamps is that you can easily see if something will fit the way you want it to.  I'm not much for sketching things out in advance, and I prefer this hands on play with it until it looks right approach.

The background is from Scripty Scripts.  I did a tone on tone effect with the chocolate brown hues.  The sentiment is from Ultimate Sentiments I.

I used the Stampin' Up Eyelet Lace border punch along the bottom.  The ribbon is just from one of my local craft stores.  I love that little touch of color, and I think the shade of green is nice with all these browns.

I later rounded the top 2 corners, but I had already taken the photo and decided not to revise it.

Thanks for stopping by today, I have another post going up shortly of a super cute card for spring.  Be sure and see that one, it's extra cute :)
