Cup of Cocoa Christmas Card

Here's a little holiday card I made.  I used the Peppermint Forest stack which was available at Jo-ann's last holiday season.  I start by cutting out a standard sized card base.  I embossed simple snowflakes all over the card front using Stamp n Stuff Embossing Powder in Kaleidoscope by Stampendous.  It's basically clear with glitter.  The effect is subtle, especially over patterned paper, but it's elegant and I liked it.

Then I cut out a piece of a patterned sheet that included a sentiment.  I tied a piece of old scrap ribbon I had laying around onto it and then mounted it to a red piece of cardstock.  I added some stitching lines with my white gel pen.

I hand cut out the gingerbread and teacup - which cut together as one piece.  Then I added Diamond Stickles around the outline, & to the details of the cup & gingerbread.  I mounted this piece on with Pop Dots.
