Dream Card

I wanted to create a little fantasy world on a card.  My children love Dr Suess books and I enjoy the crazy looking characters and strange trees.  Although I'm not fond of the colors in those books I really enjoy the fun and whimsy of the pictures.  I took that basic concept for this card.

I was feeling sad yesterday.  I'm not even sure why.  I just felt tired and gloomy.  Nothing cheers me up like beautiful colors and letting my imagination run wild.  So, that was my jumping off point for this.  Nothing realistic, just pure fun.

The papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky 6 by 6 pad.

The pinwheels are from Stampin' Up's Sweets for the Sweet.  Stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.

The alphabet used to spell "Dream" is from Close to My Heart.  Stamped in Close to Cocoa by Stampin' Up.

Bling is from Irock.

Gelly Roll pen used to do white faux stitching.

Close to Cocoa Stampin Up marker used to do faux brown stitching on the hill.

This card really did cheer me up :)

Not sure what kind of occasion it would work for.  Perhaps someone starting a new job, business, or life venture.  Or maybe someone who was laid off or otherwise unsure of what direction to go in because of a setback.  Maybe as a very non-traditional graduation card.  I really had no idea what I'd use it for when I was creating it.

Hopefully someday this card will feel just right to help someone realize the beauty and power of their dreams

Thanks for visiting!  You are beautiful, unique, and truly special.  Do something today that brings you pure joy, you are worth it!

I love your card Amber and can see why it would cheer you up, the colours are lovely. The pinwheels or as i would call them, windmills remind me of the windmills my mum bought me when I was a wee girl.

I hope you feel less down now. This is sometimes a difficutl time of the year for some folk, but spring is on it's way, take care, kate x
