Friends Fur Ever Bag

This was the project I submitted for the My Pink Stamper Design Team call.  Now that she has announced her team I am able to share it.  The rules were not to post the project anywhere else until she picked her team.  I ended up putting monogrammed note cards inside and giving it to my best friend.

I think this turned out really well & is pretty original.  I used several cartridges.  Tags, Bags, Boxes & more for the bag, Serenade for the cloud, Create a Critter for the foxes, Easter 2010 for the bows on the foxes, & Plantin Schoolbook for the grass.  I covered the foxes in flocking powder to make them nice and fuzzy.  I used my Ultimate Crafter's Companion to help me tie the perfect bow with some brown satin ribbon.

Instead of listing all the sizes and directions I have a cut file available for download, free as always :)  This will save you some time, flipping, hide contouring, etc.  Just delete any of the cuts you don't have the cartridge for and substitute something else.  Click here to download my free cut file!

Have a fabulous, crafty day, thanks for stopping by!  Comments would be especially appreciated on this project, I always feel sad every time I get turned down for a design team, even though it's to be expected it's still a bummer.

Oh, it's absolutely darling! I love the little bows in their hair, and the flocking was such a great detail to add! That ribbon and bow is just gorgeous! I need something to help me with mine! Keep your chin up, Amber! I can imagine it sucks, I'm still down on myself for not at least trying for the SP team! You at least tried, and you'll get it next time!

I love it! What an adorable project!! It really is awesome and the design is so nice, crisp and clean! I honestly wish I had not submitted anything, as I am just not experienced enough yet and the rejection is just horrible and awful for me!! My confidence level took a huge hit and I have been so sad. Your project is definitely design team-worthy! I think she was just overwhelmed with so many beautiful projects to choose from. I am sure she probably had to come up with a special rubric in order to choose her team. Otherwise it would be impossible! Keep your chin up. Everything you make is just jaw-dropping and perfect! A big crafty hug to you, Kimmy :)

Btw, you are the very first blog I ever viewed when I got my Cricut! The first video, too! It was right around the time you posted your first video. If you've read any of my posts, you know why I stayed away from scrapbooking, etc. for so many years. You inspired me to start my own blog(which still needs sooo much work). You are simply amazing, Amber!! =]

I love this bag!! It is so adorable!I love that you used the bows from Easter 2010! I wouldn't have thought of it. I haven't used flock yet but I have some and need to try it because it looks so adorable. I'm sorry that you didn't make the design team. Your work is definatley good enough to be on her team but I am sure she gets thousands of entries! She also has to pick people based on her products that she is selling. So, people who she thinks will make the best use out of her stamps. Try not to take it personally. I also submitted a project and obviously did not make the team either so I know how it feels but maybe we will have better luck next time or make the DT somewhere else. Just keep crafting -- we all love your work!!!
