No Diving Penguin Card
Oh for the love of penguins, and boy I sure do love penguins! :) I had such fun making this card! I used a stamp set from There She Goes Clear Stamps called Penguin Love.
The inspiration for this card actually came from the ribbon along the bottom. I got a bucket of little odds and ends as a gift, things like buttons, fibers, etc. Perfect for a crafty individual such as myself, and I got a good sized portion of this ribbon and thought, what on earth am I going to do with that? I kept thinking of a lamp shade! *LOL* Eventually I decided it reminded me of winter icicles with the cool colors and sheen it had, those little beads are grayish like ice - so I decided to use it on some winter cards.
The best part of this card for me is the iceberg. The top layer of it is acetate stamped with Staz On ink. Underneath I cut a layer of glitter paper - my favorite glitter paper from Die Cuts With a View. The glitter paper layer is not stamped, just cut out. I think the two layer give a great effect. It is super sparkly in person and then the acetate gives that great sense of slick-ness about it. Truly the feel I was going for.
This card was great for making me feel a little cooler in all this insane heat! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful, and very crafty day!
