Winter Banner Card

I was inspired to make this card after seeing a card that Kristina Werner made.  Here is the original card that inspired me!

I just loved what she did with it and I had been wanting to play along in the Whimsical Designs challenge to use a snowflake and bling.

I started with a kraft base.  The top 2 corners are rounded at a 1/2 inch.

I used a Gelly Roll pen to do the faux stitching.

The papers are from the Echo Park 6 by 6 pad Winter Park.

The bling is just from the $1 bin at Michael's.

The stamps are all from SP & Company.
Snowflakes from Falling Snow stamped using Marina Mist ink from Stampin' Up.
Sentiment from Ultimate Sentiments 1.  Same ink.
The bottom is Circletastic stamped with Versamark and then heat embossed using some white embossing powder.

This came together SO quickly since I was using Kristina's sketch.  Normally I spend hours on a card so it was nice to have one come together so quickly.

I'll be entering this over at Whimsical Designs for their Winter Wonderland challenge.

  4. Hello Amber, I don't know how you found my blog but pleased you have. Thank you for your very kind comment. I was very curious to learn about you, always intersted to find out where folk come from. I had a browse through your blog and what lovely project you have, like this lovely card here.

Your little ones are gorgeous and I would guess they keep you on your toes.

My husband hates to pay for any work needed doing around the house too, but he's just mean, only kidding,
    Happy crafting, Kate x

Thank you for visiting me and your kind comment, you could easily make a similar background - I just play really and am new to paint and use the principle - just slosh it on and hope for the best! Hugs, Anne x
